Neko's Middle Cyclone has been nominated for Best Contemporary Folk Album and art directors Neko Case and Kathleen Judge have been nominated for Best Recording Package! The Grammy awards show will air on January 31, 2010.
ANTI- has created a lithograph of Neko’s Grammy-nominated album cover in a limited, one-time, numbered edition of 1000. The Giclee is a museum quality, archival print of the Middle Cyclone cover art and is printed on 18“x24” acid free, European-imported matte-cotton paper. The Giclee method allows for millions of colors to be processed and every detail -- from the shine of the Mercury’s hood to the finer, subtle textures of the background -- are caught with meticulous detail. The high-quality paper ensures that these details will last when properly handled. You can read more about the Middle Cyclone Giclee and even buy one here!
Neko joined Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Ron Sexsmith and Jesse Winchester for a 'guitar pull' -- a swapping of songs and stories -- which includes an incredibly unique arrangement of Neko's song Prison Girls by Elvis and Steve Nieve. Spectacle: Elvis Costello with Sheryl Crow, Neko Case, Ron Sexsmith and Jesse Winchester will air on the Sundance Channel on Wednesday, December 16. Go to Spectacle for more information.
Neko is TCM's Guest Programmer for December. Her interview with Robert Osborne, and the four films she chose, will air on Tuesday, December 8. Go to TCM for more details.
