Esopus Magazine's 10th issue hits newsstands mid-May. Esopus is an beautiful and imaginative magazine on the creative process, and it made Neko's list of favorite things in 2007. She's finally gotten a chance to contribute to the magazine. Her contribution? Uh, a song about ferrets of course. The mag's CD compilation for this issue is titled "Good News" and all songs on the disc were inspired by a bit of good news that each writer read about. Neko's track, performed with fellow New Pornographer Carl Newman, is called "Yon Ferrets Return"- all about ferrets that have come back from near extinction with the help of local farmers in Kansas. Go farmers & ferrets! Go Esopus!.

Neko and Hogan have been immortalized in an upcoming episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force!!!!!!! The Cartoon Network show premieres its new season on Sunday, January 20, and Sirens, the episode which features the ladies alongside former Phillie, John Kruk, airs January 27. Check your local listings for airtimes and while your at it, have a peak at the ATHF goings-on here.

On November 6th, Anti- will re-release a couple of Neko's earlier albums, 2000's Furnace Room Lullaby and 2002's Blacklisted, along with a bonus version of her latest CD, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. The "bonus" version of Fox will include a separate disc of 5 songs - 2 from Furnace Room Lullaby, 2 from Blacklisted, and 1 demo of "Behind the House", a song only previously released on the Live From Austin City Limits CD. For fans who already have all of Neko's albums, here is a FREE download of the "Behind the House" demo just for you... (click to listen, right-click to download)

Neko and the band are scheduled to make their debut on November 16th at the world famous Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Frank Gehry-designed home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The evening before, on November 15th, they'll perform a concert in Tucson, AZ to benefit the organization No More Deaths.

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused by tonight's performance cancellation (Sat, 4/14). Canceling a show is not at all a usual practice for Neko and the band. Unfortunately, it was the only option given the technical difficulties that could not be overcome. We're going to reschedule another date in OKC as soon as possible. THANK YOU to all of the kind and understanding people waiting outside - we are sorry, but we will see you SOON. XOXO
