TOUR DIARY #4: LINCOLN, NE
Lincoln, NE/Knickerbockers
Officially our favorite new city to play in America!!! Wow, what a pleasant surprise! We had never played the state of Nebraska before, so we didn't know what to expect. We were greeted by a bar full of friendly, enthusiastic music lovers. Rex and the Boys played a great set, which put the people in a good mood.
We went on stage at 11pm, expecting to play for an hour, but those crazy drunk people wouldn't let us leave. It was a magical time. The audience was so much fun and our sound man Brian did a great job. It was so much fun it didn't even bother us that we had to drive 10 and a half hours straight to Denver.(Well not until 9am, anyway). We had had such a bad start to our week but the kind people of Lincoln gave us all their surplus lovin', and all this despite the fact that there's a drought going on and the corn is stunted. We did a rain dance at the gas station outside Ogallala just for the great state of Nebraska. Thank you.
